SPRING - Cherry Blossom Princess

The Cherry Blossom Festival takes place in Washington, D.C. each April. Every state is represented by a Cherry Blossom Princess who attends various events during the Festival week.

To qualify to apply as Montana's Princess, you must be a U.S. citizen and either have been born in, be the daughter of a parent born in, or a legal resident of Montana.  You must be between the ages of 19 and 24, and be single (never married) with no children.

Interested applicants should contact the Montana State Society President Jayne Visser for more information. Finalists will be chosen based on their application, and finalists will be invited to participate in a phone interview.

SUMMER - Testy Fest

Testy Fest, or Testicle Festival, is an annual event hosted by Montana State Society in Washington, D.C. Come to the festival and experience a unique Montana tradition while listening and dancing to live country music, and enjoying all the Rocky Mountain Oysters, beer and Crown Royal you can handle.  We typically have food trucks at the event with food available for purchase.  Get there early, the first guests will also get a T-Shirt to forever memorialize the event. Dance to your favorite country music played live on stage by Wil Gravatt Band!

Our famous ball chef, Frank McGraw,  comes from the original Rocky Mountain Testy Fest at Rock Creek Lodge outside of Missoula, MT. Frank's tasty recipe has an authentic zest that helped set a record a couple years back for most pounds consumed.

FALL - Go West Beer Fest

The Montana State Society co-hosts the Go West Beer Festival in Washington, D.C. along with the State Societies of Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. The Go West Beer Fest features an array of delicious craft beer from great breweries across the west -- and draws a diverse crowd of western transplants from all over the DC-area. There will be food trucks at the event with food for sale.

Join us to sample the best beers from the west!

FALL - Brawl of the Wild

The Brawl of the Wild is the annual Montana State University Bobcats vs. University of Montana Grizzlies. Join the Montana State Society at our annual Cat-Griz watch party to cheer on your favorite team. Proceeds will be split with the UM and MSU Alumni Associations.

Break out your best Montana Griz and Bobcat gear and join us for the brawl!
